Shonanpost is a free English-language mini-magazine that provides information on events, culture, education, and volunteer activities in the Shonan area. It was established in 2000 and produces 800 copies every month. It also has a website1. It is edited by Japanese and foreign volunteers living in Shonan. It participates in the annual Kamakura International Festival2 every year. Shonanpost covers information from Kamakura to Fujisawa, Chigasaki, Ofuna, Zushi, Hayama, and Yokosuka. Shonan Post editorial theme is Our Storied Neighbors. Each month we highlight a legendary Japanese creature and suggest where you might be able to spot it in the Shonan area. As always, check each issue for Seasonal Events, Music & Stage, movies, museums, markets, and tours. Upcoming Events

The Shonan Post staffs a booth at the annual Fujisawa International Festival (usually end of October) and Kamakura International Festival (usually early November). We will announce the dates beginning the August issue. We welcome donations of used foreign language books to sell at our booth. Please contact us at the above email address to arrange a pick-up.
